- DGSFP registration: C0320Y2155969D

"We", "us" and "our" refer to Stephen Paul Gregory trading as Student Visa Health Insurance Spain. "You" refers to any person who visits the Website or engages our services.
2. Scope & acceptance
These terms govern your access to and use of the Website and any enquiry, eligibility check, quote or policy-placement service provided through it. By using the Website or requesting a quote, you confirm you have read, understood and accepted these Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Website.
3. Our role as insurance intermediary
We operate as an exclusive insurance agent under Royal Decree-Law 3/2020 (transposing the EU Insurance Distribution Directive) and Law 20/2015 (LOSSEAR). This means we distribute health-insurance products of Sanitas S.A. de Seguros only; we do not compare products from multiple insurers; and we act on behalf of the insurer, not as an independent broker. Our registration can be verified at www.dgsfp.mineco.gob.es.
4. Information provided on the website
The Website provides information about Sanitas health insurance for international students in Spain. Descriptions of products, benefits and exclusions are a summary — the binding policy documents are the Conditions issued by Sanitas at contracting. Prices shown are indicative and may change without notice.
5. Quotes & price validity
Any quote — including prices shown by the on-site calculator — is indicative and subject to confirmation of the information you supply (age, residence province, course dates, health declarations), acceptance of your application by Sanitas, and any conditions Sanitas applies through underwriting. Eligibility, premium and policy terms are confirmed before the policy is issued. Unless otherwise stated, a quote is valid for 30 days.
Please note: we accept no liability for differences between an indicative price shown on the Website and the final premium confirmed by Sanitas after full underwriting. Always complete a personalised quote before making financial decisions.
6. Applying for a policy
To apply for the Sanitas International Students plan through us:
- The plan covers students aged 14 to 35 coming to Spain to study, for course lengths of 3 to 14 months (renewable).
- Applicants aged 18 or over apply as both policyholder and insured.
- For students aged 14–17, the application must be made by a parent, legal guardian or grandparent aged 18 or over, who becomes the policyholder; the student is the insured person. The adult provides the information, gives the consents and signs the application.
- You must provide accurate identity, contact, study and health information, including proof of enrolment showing course dates.
- Acceptance is subject to Sanitas' underwriting decision.
The contract of insurance is between the policyholder and Sanitas, not with us. We facilitate and administer the application but are not a party to the policy. The grant or refusal of any visa is decided solely by the Spanish authorities.
7. Duty of disclosure
Under Article 10 of Spanish Insurance Contract Law (Ley 50/1980), you must answer truthfully and completely all questions we or Sanitas put to you, particularly about health. For minor students, this duty falls on the adult policyholder.
Important: inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information may allow Sanitas to reduce benefits, refuse a claim, or rescind the policy. If in doubt, disclose.
8. No advice & suitability
We provide information, quotes and distribution services — not regulated financial, legal, tax, immigration or medical advice. Before you contract, we will supply the Insurance Product Information Document (IPID) and the contractual conditions; you are responsible for reading them before accepting the policy.
9. Commissions & remuneration
We are remunerated by commissions paid by Sanitas, included in the premium. You pay us no separate fee. Further information about the commission relating to your policy is available on request.
10. Premium payment
Premiums are paid directly to Sanitas by the method you authorise at contracting. Monthly payment requires direct debit from a Spanish bank account; annual payment options include accepted credit/debit cards. Payment terms, cancellation for non-payment and reinstatement are governed by the Sanitas policy conditions and Spanish insurance law.
11. Cancellation & cooling-off
For distance contracts you generally have a 14-day cooling-off period from the later of the contract date or receipt of the contractual documentation (Article 10, Law 22/2007). Note that where a visa certificate has been issued and used in a visa application, cancellation may have consequences for that application — ask us before cancelling. Thereafter, cancellation is governed by the Sanitas policy conditions.
12. Conflicts of interest
As an exclusive agent of Sanitas we recommend only Sanitas products; this structural conflict is disclosed in advance. We maintain written procedures to prevent conflicts from adversely affecting clients.
13. Complaints & dispute resolution
- First instance: write to info@studentvisahealthinsurancespain.com — acknowledgement within 5 working days, substantive reply within 2 months.
- Sanitas Customer Service Department, as indicated in your policy schedule, then the Sanitas Customer Ombudsman.
- The DGSFP Complaints Service, once the insurer's process is exhausted or two months have passed without reply: www.dgsfp.mineco.gob.es.
14. Intellectual property

15. Acceptable use
You agree not to submit false or fraudulent information; attempt unauthorised access to the Website or connected systems; introduce malicious code; harvest content or pricing by automated means; or use the Website in breach of Spanish or EU law.
16. Liability
- The Website is provided "as is"; we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- We are not liable for reliance on general information on the Website — always check the Sanitas contractual documentation before contracting.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
- As an exclusive agent acting solely on behalf of Sanitas and never handling client money, liability arising from our insurance-distribution activity is covered by Sanitas S.A. de Seguros under Article 26 of Royal Decree-Law 3/2020.
17. Third-party links
The Website may link to third-party sites, including Sanitas, the DGSFP and government portals. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page with the "Last updated" date shown above.
19. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rule granting you the right to bring proceedings in your place of residence, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts and Tribunals of Murcia, Spain.
